Homework
Help your child develop home study skills by setting aside a time each night to do homework. Reinforce the idea that daily homework is an important part of their job as a student. Homework will be a weekly BINGO sheet. We are sending home one copy of the homework page in a sheet protector so you can reuse it at home. It is not required to be turned into the teacher. If you lose track of the page, please see the Homework section of my teacher website for a new one.
Behavior
This year, our school is continuing our school wide behavior system. It encourages students to be kind, be safe, and be ready to learn. Please reinforce with your children that consequence come as a result of the choice THEY make. Thus, consequences can be positive or negative. We are striving to have many more positive consequences than negative. Please see the behavior matrix in the Rules section of my website for more details.
Communication
Email is my main source of communication. I will check my email daily so if you want to get ahold of me or message me this is the easiest way. I also send a lot of messages and pictures through Class Dojo. I will also put all homework resources, helpful information such as websites or important information about my classes on my teacher website. Please feel free to call, email, or drop a note at any time. I look forward to meeting and talking with each of you.
Absences and Tardies

Anytime your child is tardy or leaves school early, he or she misses critical instruction. If your child needs to be absent, please notify the front office. If the student will miss an extended amount of time, please notify me as well.

Parent Expectations
- Help your child to practice their skills from school by completing the homework BINGO weekly. The number one factor for student success in school is the amount of time parents spend reading with children, so always feel free to add extra reading time into your child’s after school activities.
- Celebrate all successes, big or small. Focus on the positive!
- Encourage joy and excitement for learning all year. Children pick up on the feelings and beliefs of parents. Be positive!
- Support classroom activities, philosophy, and curriculum.
- Please contact me with any issues, big or small so we can fix them!
