Dear Golf Tourney Director:
The North Tonawanda Dept. of Youth, Recreation and Parks is accepting applications for Tournament play at Deerwood Golf Course for the 2015 playing season.
Once a completed application has been returned to the North Tonawanda Youth, Recreation and Parks Dept., your date for the 2015 season has been secured. If any conflicts in scheduling arise, I will contact the parties involved ASAP to resolve the conflict.
Requested dates will be entered on the 2015 Tournament Schedule when the enclosed applications are completed, signed and submitted to the Recreation Dept.
The application can be submitted by mail, fax, e-mail or in person. The department’s address and fax numbers are at the top of this letter. E-mailed applications should be sent to .
Only a completed 2015 application (pages 2-3)is needed to secure a date. Do not remit any money with this application. The course rotation schedule will be made available shortly and will also be posted on the Golf Course website. All dates will be confirmed by mail shortly after the completed application is submitted.

I, the undersigned, representing the above stated organization, state that myself and the members of said organization are cognizant and realize that the Deerwood Golf Course is a municipal recreational facility which must operate under certain rules and regulations, namely, a pace of play program and standard golf course conduct and etiquette, and do, therefore, promise to conform to these rules and regulations during play of the organization at the golf course; it is understood that a lack of conformity to the rules and regulations of the Deerwood Golf Course could lead to the exclusion of the organization from future play as a group.

2. Please read the golf course policies regarding tournament play
before completing this application form (see enclosure).
3.Any special requests should be made on the reverse side of the
application form.
4.Dates are filled on a first come, first serve basis. As soon as your application is received at the North Tonawanda Recreation Office, you will be penciled in on your requested date. Upon receipt of your signed Tournament Agreement and booking fee, your tournament date becomes permanent.
5.Applications can either be filed in person or mailed to the North Tonawanda Recreation Office, 500 Wheatfield Street, North Tonawanda, NY, 14120, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m or e-mailed to
6.Since there are a limited number of available tournament dates, any delay in filing an application will result in fewer available dates.
GOLF TOURNAMENT POLICY
ALL TOURNAMENT APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW THESE STIPULATIONS WITHOUT EXCEPTION:
- Starting time for all MONDAY tournaments is 1st foursome at 10:00 a.m., or later 18 holes.
- Starting time for all WEDNESDAY tournaments is 1st foursome at 10:00 a.m., or later 18
holes.
- Starting time for MONDAY-WEDNESDAY 9 hole tournaments is 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
- Earliest starting time for all SATURDAY AND SUNDAY tournaments (18 holes) 11:00 a.m.-noon. (9 holes) 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. .
- 18 hole tournaments will be consecutive foursomes off the #1 tee of the designated 18 hole course or split tee format using the front nine and the 9 hole course for that week.9 hole tournaments will start off the #1 tee of designated 9 hole course.
- All tournaments must use a four golfer scramble format (18 holes) unless special permission is granted by the supervisor to play an alternate format.
- All 9 hole tournaments must have a minimum of 20 golfers.
- The maximum amount of golfers for any tournament established since 1994 is 120 golfers. Director reserves the right to set maximum # of foursomes based on availability of carts.
*IF YOUR TOURNAMENT CANNOT FOLLOW THE ABOVE STIPULATIONS,PLEASE DO NOT RETURN YOUR APPLICATION. ALL TOURNAMENTAPPLICANTS ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OTHER GOLFTOURNAMENT POLICIES INCLUDED IN THIS MAILING.
Golf Tournament fees (includes one golfer and 1/2 golf car):
Weekday and Weekend - 18 Holes - $28.00
Weekday and Weekend - 9 Holes - $14.00
- Since the above tournament fees are calculated as a mid-point between resident and non-resident fees, North Tonawanda Recreation ID cards will not be included in tournament payments. Season golf passes and private golf cart passes will be included in tournament payments.

- All 18 hole tournaments are required to pay a $105.00 non-refundable booking fee which is due with the signed agreement which can be either delivered in person or mailed to the North Tonawanda Recreation Office, 500Wheatfield Street, North Tonawanda, New York 14120. 9 hole tournaments - same as above except the non-refundable booking fee is $53.00. This is not a deposit towards tournament greens fees.
- For lunch or dinner arrangements, call the Fairways at Deerwood at 695-1424.
- Each group is permitted to apply for only one tournament per season.
- Rain dates will not be scheduled. Deposits only will be refunded if the tournament is canceled.
- A maximum 10 minute break at the turn between the nines is permitted.
- All tournament golfers are required to follow Deerwood Golf Course rules and regulations. Violations could jeopardize tournament reservations in the future.
- Overflow parking is available across the street in the Botanical Gardens parking lot. Since many tournament golfers are at the course most of the day, we would appreciate as many tournament golfers as possible using the overflow parking. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to limit the size of any tournament based on golf cart availability .
