MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
IRA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
JULY 5, 2016
The Ira Township Board of Trustees met in the board room of the Ira Township Hall on July 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order with a moment of silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Board members present: Robert McCoy, Thomas Eder, Crystal Sovey, James Jacob
Absent: James Endres Jr.
MINUTES:
Moved by J. Jacob to approve the minutes of the 6/6/16 regular meeting and 6/29/16 Budget Hearing and Special meeting as presented, supported by T. Eder.
All voting yes. Opposing: None MOTION CARRIED

Submitted a packet and spoke in opposition of the proposed kennel, SLU 16-385, 7850 Shea Road.
SCCRC Agreement
R. McCoy moved to table SCCRC Agreement for legal opinion on drive and catch basin repair in Broadbridge sub, supported by T. Eder.

Tax Tribunals
C. Sovey moved to authorize legal counsel to sign the stipulation for consent judgment on behalf of the township for tax tribunal case #15-002880, 15-002881 & 15-002882 APB Properties. LLC, 74-23-006-1001-000, 74-23-130-0002-000 and 74-23-130-0011-000 vacant parcels, supported by J. Jacob.
All voting yes. Opposing: None MOTION CARRIED
R. McCoy moved to authorize legal counsel to sign the stipulation for consent judgment on behalf of the township for tax tribunal case #16-000261-R, Bobby Mac’s Bayside, 74-23-023-3005-000, supported by T. Eder.
All voting yes. Opposing: None MOTION CARRIED
Class ”C” Liquor License
J. Jacob moved to adopt the Resolution for Local Government Approval for William Decker, a class “C” liquor license, at 8874 Dixie Hwy., supported by R. McCoy.

SLU #16-385, 7850 Shea Road, Dog Kennel
Email request from applicant to table case; this is the second request to table. J. Jacob moved to table case 16- 385 until the August board meeting, action will be taken in August, supported by T. Eder.

Water Plant Roof
Three quotes submitted. C. Sovey moved to accept the DPS Superintendents recommendation to award the roof replacement job to Dan and Son’s LLC, in the amount of $26,200, supported by J. Jacob.

Sargent II Position
J. Jacob moved to approve the Fire Chief’s recommendation to appoint Chad Kelly to be Sargent II Office Position;this is a training position only which will be paid at the rate of $1,000.00 annually, supported by C. Sovey.

DPS Truck
State bid quote received from Red Holman. Moved by R. McCoy to approve purchase of new GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4WD pickup truck through Red Holman in the amount of $33,237.00 and to auction off one of the old pickups at a later date, supported by T. Eder.
