Job Description: Incentive Program Coordinator

The Incentive Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the POP (Power of Produce) Kids Club, the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC, and the Double Up Produce token programs at the Logan County Farmers Market. During April, May and June the Coordinator will promote the programs in the community. After the Market season ends, the Coordinator will tabulate data and complete various tasks to finish the season by October 6. The ideal candidate will coordinate social media outreach.

The Coordinator must beboth a team player and able to work independently. He/she will anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work some evenings and weekends. TheCoordinator will design and provide public presentations for adults and children, and schedule and represent the LCFM at relevant events (tabling). The Coordinator will provide outstanding customer and vendor service and have a passion for fresh local food and community wellness. Attendance at Saturday market days (7am-12:30pm) is a must.

The Coordinator will report directly to the Market Manager. The position will be contracted for a total of 170 - 200 hours at $14/hour, with payments every other week.Mileage is not included. This position is funded by the Mary Rutan Foundation Wellness Project and the Logan County Farmers Market.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Set up and tear down tables and/or tents for Saturday market days
  • Post signage, organizing, and staff incentives booth on Market days
  • Obtain supplies for the “Two Bite” club and prepare samples for POP club participants
  • Adhere to food safety laws when preparing and distributing samples
  • Provide community outreach promoting the Market’s incentive programs in partnership with the Market Manager
  • Serve as a liaison with Market vendors on all incentive programs. Collect tokens weekly, record vendor token data monthly, send info to treasurer within 4 days after last monthly market day
  • Coordinate social media communications with Market Manager (Facebook, MailChimp, etc)
