7TH December 2016

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you so much for your support throughout the concert week. Congratulations to all our pupils and staff for such entertaining and enjoyable performances. Next week will continue to be a very busy week. Due to popular demand, we will hold our carol concert in St Catwg’s Church after all, although we have moved the date to Thursday 15th December. Please note the following dates and information.

Monday 12th December
10:00 a.m. Christmas Musical Assembly
Our junior musicians will be joined by choral group and a Year 5 and Year 6 choir for a special assembly. Due to the limited seating we will only be able to invite families of pupils who are in choral group or who take music lessons with Mrs. Caroline Nicholas.

1:30 p.m. Filming of Foundation Phase concert.
One more performance only for our staff and children.
Reception pupils please wear black leggings and tops to school.
Tuesday 13th December
3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Christmas Fete
Many thanks to our excellent PTA for organising the fete again this year. We will, of course, have a visit from Santa. Please make sure you bring your phone or camera so that you can take a photo with St. Nicholas before he heads back off to the North Pole!

There will be a disco during the fete. As pupils will not have a chance
to go home and change, Tuesday is a non-uniform day – party clothes
or Christmas jumpers are welcome! Please send £1 per pupil for the
non-uniform day – this also covers the cost of the disco.
Wednesday 14th December
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Junior Cinema Trip
Year 3 to Year 6 pupils will visit Ystradgynlais Welfare Cinema to see “Moana”.

Pisgah Chapel Visit
If the weather is dry, Year 1 and Year 2 children will visit Pisgah Chapel
to sing some carols and have a message from Minister Peter.
1:30 p.m. Grand Raffle Draw – Good luck everyone!
Thursday 15th December
10:00 a.m. Carol Concert in St. Catwg’s Church.
We will enjoy our favourite carols, musical items, readings and poems in the beautiful setting of St. Catwg’s Church, and we will have a special message from Reverend Andrew Meredith. Everyone is welcome. This year we will be taking only our junior pupils from Year 3 to Year 6 and will enjoy our traditional walk to the church. We would be very grateful if any parents or carers are able to accompany the classes on the journey. If the weather is wet and the concert
has to be cancelled we will send a text message in the morning.
12:00 p.m. Party Lunch followed by class parties.
Friday 16th December
Last Day of Term - School will close at 3.20 p.m.
Spring Term will begin for all pupils on Wednesday 4th January, 2017
