Using the Prob Sim Application to model the stock market.

Part 1

Step 1:Locate the button and push it. You should get a screen similar to the one at the right.

Step 2:Scroll down to Prob Sim or use to get to the Ps. Select Prob Sim by pushing when it is highlighted. You should get a screen similar to the one at the right.

Step 3:We are going to use 2. Roll Dice to simulate the stock market. Select it by pressing 2 or by pushing enter when it is highlighted.

Step 4:We are going to need to change the settings. So push to bring up the settings menu. Change the trial set to 100 by typing in 100. Change the number of sides by using the arrow keys to move over to ten and push enter when 10 is highlighted. Then select ok by pushing . Now roll the dice 100 times by pushing .

Step 5:Record all of the necessary data. (You can find the frequency of each number by using your left and right arrow keys.) Push to exit to the menu. It will ask you if you want to clear your data, push to say yes.

Part 2

Step 6:Select Roll Dice by pushing two. We are going to change the settings again as in step 4 (push) except this time we are going to weight the dice. Change the trial set to 100. Change the number of sides to 10. Then push for ADV. Change the weight (wght) for 1 to 0, for 5 to 4, and for 10 to 0. Then push for ok. Push again for ok.

Step 7:Push to roll the dice 100 times.

Step 8: Record all of the necessary data.

Step 9:Push to exit. It will ask you if you want to clear the data, push for yes. Finally, push to quit the program. It will ask you if you are sure push for yes.
