STUDENT CUPBOARD JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Student Cupboard Student Assistant

REPORTSTO: Food Security Project Coordinator

BASICFUNCTIONS:Responsible for daily operations of the Student Cupboard

HOURS: Approximately 12-16 hours per week (depending on availability)

COMPENSATION: $10.50/hour

STARTDATE:August 7, 2017 (pending HR hiring approval);
Mandatory training Friday, August 11, 2017.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides for a clean, safe and efficient operation of the Student Cupboard
  • Provides for a welcoming atmosphere for Student Cupboard visitors
  • Distributes food and hygiene items to Fresno State students in need
  • Refers students to coordinator for additional resources as needed
  • Processes food donations and stocks Student Cupboard shelves
  • Determines food and hygiene inventory requirements and reports to coordinator
  • Assist with training and supervision of Student Cupboard volunteers
  • Assist with CalFresh outreach and application assistance as a part of the CalFresh grant through the Student Cupboard

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team or individually
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
