Our Curriculum:
The Nursery Curriculum has covered Halloween and Fire Works nights and is about to start transforming into Christmas! Listen out for the Christmas songs as they are on their way!
Babies:
Thank you to all the parents who sent in leaves and twigs to add to the collection the children had made, they have all been used for our wall display and during Arts & Crafts. The children have enjoyed lots of Halloween cooking activities which ranged from cakes, biscuits and moulded chocolates. They also had lots of messy fun with jelly play.
Toddlers
The Toddlers have enjoyed lots of music and dance, I am sure you have heard many of our English and Welsh songs at home with lots of actions. The Toddlers have made lots of shadow bats and pumpkins and have enjoyed lots of bear hunts in Jump.
Pre-School
The Pre-School children have been working really hard making Halloween pumpkins and spooky ghosts. They are just finishing symmetry pictures of fireworks and have been concentrating on their letter recognition.
Christmas Photographs
We have booked our photographer for Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th November at 9.30am to 4.00pm to be available to take Christmas photographs of your child or family, which will be available to you in time to wrap as a super present for Family or Friends.
You can either send a change of clothes in for the Team to dress your child in their favourite clothing or you can come along on the day for the photograph. Tim will send home a proof for you to select and purchases from.
Children in Need Week:
Week commencing 10th November 2014 will be our annual Children in Need Week. You are welcome to send your child into nursery in any costume or pyjamas that they would like to wear for the week. The Caerleon Team will be joining in with a mad hair day on Friday 14th November and there will be a collection pot in reception for any donations you wish to make.
Count the Kicks
If any parents would like to donate their used Baby Wipe Packets or used Tassimo Pods and packaging then the Count The Kicks Charity would love to receive them. There is a blue collection box in reception for you to place your donations into. Thank you for your support.
Collection for The University Hospital of Wales
We have been asked by Lindsey Thomas who is the onsite PCSO for the UHW if we could make any donations towards Arts and Crafts, Christmas activities or games that children could play with and enjoy while staying in the hospital. If you would like to make a donation and help a child smile then please can you pop your gift into the office. Your gift could include paint, paper, colouring books, reading books or just a simple card game etc, anything a child could sit in bed and enjoy.
