CELEBRATE ARCHITECTURE - 2015

Call for Entries
Purpose:This award is to recognize the enduring value of distinguished buildings after a period of time has elapsed, allowing for a re-evaluation of the structure’s aesthetic statement, execution and function.
Eligible:The award is open to all types of buildings and may consist of one structure or a group of structures. Individual members or firms may make nominations. The project must be standing in a substantially completed form, and in good condition. Project must be a minimum of twenty-five years old.
Nomination:Any AIA member, group of members or committee may nominate buildings for this award.
- A Nominations letter by an AIA member, group or committee chair that summarizes the contributions made.
- Verification of the age and a written description of why this structure is of significance to the State of Arizona must be included.
- Submit additional or alternate information as appropriate to convey the significance of the project.
- Please provide a hard copy and digital copy of your nomination.
Jury:Submittals will be juried by a panel of AIA Arizona Fellows consisting of seven active Fellows with two alternate Fellow members as selected by the AIA Arizona Fellows Chair and Vice-Chair.
Publicity:The winning nominee will receive a Certificate of Excellence from AIA Arizona and be recognized at the 2015 Celebrate Architecture Awards Presentation, October 3rdat the Phoenix Art Museum. The winner will be included in publicity resulting from the Celebrate Architecture program and in other AIA Arizona publications. The winner will be asked to provide one (1) digital image for publicity purposes.
Release
Waiver:By submitting a nomination, entrants take full responsibility for the accuracy of all information submitted and warrant that all necessary permissions have been obtained from others who may have rights to the work. Entrants further acknowledge that no royalty or compensation is due anyone, hold AIA Arizona, its sponsors, staff, consultants, and members harmless from all liability and grant to AIA Arizona the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce and distribute copies of the original entry.
