Chairman would confirm the additional appointment of Mrs Furness to the committee as Assistant Treasurer and to provide a central point of contact within the UK NLR. / Wg Cdr Al Rutledge
2 / Item 2 – Brit Fund Charter
The Brit Fund is a private fund with membership open to UK military, NATO and Civil Servant personnel assigned to the Tidewater area. It is a non-profit fund that represents the interests of its membership by supporting and organising UK community events.
Non-members are welcome to attend events however will be required to pay a fee calculated per individual event.
3 / Item 3 – Fund Constitution
AP3223 be used as the policy framework to create a new fund constitution.
The committee shall prepare, review and distribute a constitution to its full membership. / Mr King
4 / Item 4 – Membership Fees
Current levels of membership shall be maintained:
Accompanied military personnel - $50 on assignment (valid for tour length)
Unaccompanied military personnel - $25 on assignment (valid for tour length)
Civil Servants - $15 annually
NATO Civilians - $15 annually
A full review of paying members shall be conducted and subsequently distributed to the full BayBrit community (along with the new constitution) to reinvigorate membership. / SSgt McMann

5 / Item 5 - Finance
The funs shall adhere to the UK Financial Year: April to April
The fund shall be governed on the following basis:
Daily management – SSgt McMann (as sole authorised individual of the Towne Bank account)
Monthly review – Wg Cdr Rutledge
Quarterly audit – Mr King
A yearly financial position and financial plan shall be distributed (with the constitution) at the end of each Financial Year.
A 2017-2017 financial report shall be issued with the new constitution. / SSgt McMann

6 / Item 6 - Events
UK community events will be self-supporting and may approach the Brit Fund for financial support. Requests for financial support will be considered and considered and voted by the committee.
The Brit Fund will request that non-paying members of the fund shall a supplemental fee to events supported by the BritFund.
7 / Item 7 - Insurance
For safety purposes and to reduce financial liability, it was suggested the Brit fund purchase insurance to cover any events organized. In addition it was agreed that new members shall sign an indemnity waiver on joining the fund. / SSgt McMann

All fund documentation shall be provided – for full transparency – on the BayBrits website. / LWtr Craze
