Sir/Madam,
Annual General meeting of the Kurukshetra University Sports Council is scheduled to be held on11.08.2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Faculty Lounge, Kurukshetra University. For kind information, as per clause 14.1(d) (Note) of the Constitution of KUSC.; the Annual General meeting of the Sports Council can be attended by all the Principals/Directorsand Lecturer(s)/Assistant/Associate Professor(s) in Physical Education.But,only the regular/approved Principals/Directors and Lecturer(s)/Assistant/Associate Professor(s) in Physical Education whose names have been forwarded by the head of the Institution to this office by 19.07.2017till 5:00 P.M. are eligible to participate in the election. T.A./D.A. for attending the meeting will be borne by the College/Institution concerned.
Agenda of the meeting shall be as under:
- To confirm the minutes of the last meeting of the Kurukshetra University Sports Council held on 18.07.2017 & 25.07.2017(Minutes to the members already circulated vide this office letter No.3209- 3643 dated 22.09.16. However, for the new members, minutes are enclosed).
2. To consider and adopt Annual Report of the activities of games & sports for the session2017-2018 as per Annexure- I enclosed.
(Report approved by the Executive Board, KUSC in its meeting dated 18.07.17vide item No. 2).
3. To consider and approve Schedule of Sports Activities of Kurukshetra University from the session 2017-2018 as per Annexure - II enclosed.
(Schedule approved by the Executive Board, KUSC in its meeting dated 18.07.17vide item No. 3).
4. To consider and approve Budget Estimates for the year 2017-2018 as per Annexure – IIIenclosed.
(Budget has been approved by the Executive Board, KUSC in its meetingdt. 25.7.17 vide item No. 1).
5. To consider and approve amendments in the financial rules of KurukshetraUniversity Sports Council
as per Annexure - IV enclosed.
(Amendments approved by the Executive Board, KUSC in its meeting dated 25.07.17vide item No. 2).
6. To consider and approve the amendment in clause 4.1. (h) of the constitution of Kurukshetra
University Sports Council i.e. different Zones as per Annexure-V enclosed.
(Approved by Executive Board, KUSC in its meeting dt. 18.07.17 vide No. 1 of Supl. Agenda).
7. To consider and approve the news Games to be included in the University SportsCalendar from the session 2017-18 amongst the games included in the Sports Calendar of AIU from 2017-18.
List of the games is attached asAnnexure-VI.
8. To consider and approve to delete the three games i.e. Soft Tennis, Korf Ball & Sepak Tackraw from the University Sports Calendar which were included on trial basis from 2016-17. As the
response was poor in these games.
9. The Executive Board recommended that Rs. 500/- per head per annum instead of Rs. 120/-
per head per annum shall be charged from the students of Technical Education
Colleges/Institutes. Out of Rs. 500/-, Rs. 375/- is to be sent in favour of Secretary, KUSC
and Rs. 125/- will be retained by the Institute/College on the pattern of Kurukshetra
University Cultural Council w.e.f. 2018-19.
10. Election for the posts of President and Vice-President, as per constitution of KUSC, if required.
(Electionschedule already notified vide this office letter Nos. 18225-18606 dt. 22.06.17).

Dr. Surinder Tanwar, Asso. Prof. Phy. Edu., S.A. Jain College, Ambala City was elected as President by election and Dr. (Mrs) Sharda Sharma, Asso. Prof. Phy. Edu., Hindu Girls College, Jagadhri was
unopposed elected as Vice-President of Kurukshetra University Sports Council 2017-18.
