Weakness as a Speaker
I think I am not able to make people involved in the speech I make.
I am not used to speaking in groups.
I am not not comfortable in speaking on a subject that I am not interested in.
Weakness as a Writer
While writing I do not follow a good structure.
Some times I don’t follow the same tense through out the passage.
Task-2
Elvis Presley
Elvis presley an American who is Singer and actor well known for his rock and roll , he taught himself to play guitar and also danced wonderfully , he sang” love me tender”, “All shook up” ,he died in Memphis, tenesse, might have died of drug and alcohol abuse.
Task-3
I wanted to welcome you as soon as possible to our little family here in the States. It is high time we shook hands in person and not just across the sea. I am very pleased about getting to know you all, and I for one will do my level best to sell you about America.
Task-4
It has come to my attention that many of you are lying about your time cards. If you are late, you should not put 8:00 on your card. If you take a long lunch, you should not put 1:00 on your time card. I will not stand for this type of cheating, I simply have no choice but to institute a time-clock system. Beginning next Monday, all employees will have to punch in and punch out when ever they check in and check outof the work area.
The time clock will be right at the entrance to each area, so you have no excuse for not punching in. Any one who is late for work or late coming back from lunch more than 3 times will have to answer me. I do not care whether you had to take a nap or if you girls had to shop. This is a place of business and we do not want to be taken advantage of by slackers who are cheaters to boot.
It is too bad that a few bad apples always spoil things for every one.
Task-5
I would write a report about my boss to our CEO praising my boss in the ways he is good at following the same logical organization and clear writing that I used to write for my boss, so that our CEO understands that it is the team effort behind the boss that is responsible for things that are going well.
I hope CEO is generally an experienced, smart and an MBA from renowned college who is smart enough to find out what is what.
Task-6
Why did you choose the career for which you are preparing
I tried many options like getting admission into an MBA college but ended up getting low grades and did not qualify for one, and then I changed my idea of doing mba, as already I wasted 8 months in doing so.
There after I decided joining msit in jntu which is a hybridization of management and my favorite subject IT which would be a good foundation to do MBA from a good college after 4 years from now on that’s how I chose to do an IT course and landed up here .
There are many reasons as to why I chose MSIT jntu. It is a Problem-centered Curriculum (PCC), the curriculum will be focused around a contextual story inspired from real-world scenarios that enables us to attain a specified high level of excellence, rather than a mixed set of achievement levels.
It is a ”learn by doing course” in MSIT, a significant percentage of the grade and time is dedicated to projects, including a long field project that involves working on a real-life requirement. There are several mini projects, which focus on applications of IT in the local context that aim at making student good at basics and give practical orientation, we have weekly assignments which decide our grades so there is no one day batting kind of situations like that of engineering or any other course which is more usefull to evaluate you properly.
In MSIT “soft skills” are given priority unlike other software engineering course which are essential for any IT professional and hence, can train students like me in Business Writing, Presentation Skills, Time Management, Stress Management, Conflict management and Team Building to name a few. I am also provided with Digital Content and a dedicated Soft Skills Mentor who does continuous assessment.
It is important to have various types of soft skills in addition to technical expertise. MSIT programme which includes a significant amount of soft skills so that students are able to integrate their knowledge across fields to solve complex problems, communicate well and work in multi-cultural teams. It enables them to accept opportunities in a framework of professionally sound and quality conscious organizations, as well as to take up entrepreneurial ventures.
In MSIT We have experienced “mentors” in this course who were trained in this course before who can guide us during this course.
Apart from all this jntu has good placement record which would make my way easy to get into a good job.
