Tonight the Youth will be putting together care packages for Jubilee’s college students.Look for thebox in the foyer to contribute snacks such as popcorn, candy, etc. Questions? See Cynthia Clymer.
Join us for Bible Study on Wednesday night. A simple meal at 6:00 begins the evening. Classes are planned for youth through nursery. The men’s group will study James. Women’s group theme this week is on happiness. The prayer group will practice the Consciousness Examen. For more info, see Anita Wansley.
The annual Jubilee hay ride at the Mausts’ will be on Wednesday evening, November 3. Please invite your friends for a tractor ride in the country. Questions? See Duane or Elaine Maust.
Next Sunday is Mennonite Heritage Sunday. The service will feature an interactive sermon in which Chris Bowers, interviewed by Elaine Maust, responds to, “Why I am an Anabaptist.” If you have other questions for Chris or Elaine about being Mennonite that you hope the sermon addresses, please talk to one of them.
Next Sunday Jubilee will share the Lord’s Supper. Grapes and crackers will be provided for those anticipating their baptisms. Baptized believers will share the cup and the bread. Questions? Talk to Duane or Elaine Maust.
The Jr. Youth will be camping out this Saturday, October 30, at Pine Lake Camp. Please bring a snack or drink. Make sure to pack your sleeping bag and clothes for church. See Matt Graybill with any questions.
Human slavery still exists. Mennonite Mutual Aid is working to end forced child labor on West African cocoa farms. Some are forcibly brought in from other countries to work and skip school. MMA’s stewardship investing staff and other investors are working with Hershey and other chocolate companies to encourage elimination of forced child labor. Visit MMA-online.org to learn more.
