As the race will start at sunset and finish in the dark appropriate lights will be required on the bike and run. A glow stick bracelet will be supplied to wear on the bike and run.

I am in good health and fit to compete in the above race.
I am aware that my cycle must be in roadworthy condition and that the wearing of an approved cycle helmet is mandatory as are front bike lights and a head torch/torch for the run.
I will under take to read the race information and attend the race briefing and abide by any rules and regulations. I also agree to follow any instructions given by the organisers/ race marshals.
I accept that the organisers and their friends and their associates are not liable for any loss, damage, claim, injury (including fatal) or expense that may arise in consequence of my participation in this event

Cost: The race is only £15.00 or £20.00 for entries on the night. Prices include: glow stick bracelet, parking, changing, toilets & shower facilities.
Timings: all races start at 19.00 Registration will be open from 17.00 to 1830.The race brief will take place in transition at 18.45; all competitors must attend the race brief to receive any last minute safety instructions. Anyone who has pre-registered must still collect their numbers from registration
Registration: is at reception in the main club house building.
First Aid: will be provided by Box End staff
Child entries: The minimum age limit is 14 years of age. Under 18’s must have parental consent and parents must be in attendance during the race
The race details:
750 m open water swim (Triathlon only). Wet suits are not compulsory unless water temperatures are below 110C. if the water temperature is 240C or above then wet suits are not allowed.
The transition area will be marked out on the far side of the foot bridge over the lake connection channel. Basic racking is provided
10 k off road bike: 2 laps of the permanent off road training course [an undulating mainly grass & track route]. Suitable for mountain, cyclo-cross or hybrid bikes. Road bikes can be used at your own discretion [but not recommended]. Wearing of an approved helmet is compulsory. A front bike light is compulsory.
5 k trail run: 1 lap of the permanent off road training course. Note this is a trail run with ruts, holes etc. Care must be taken as bikes and runners will be sharing the same course. A head torch or appropriate torch is compulsory.
Safety: For your safety it is important that all instructions issued by the event organisers, marshals and Box End staff are followed at all times. Any infringements, unsafe acts or unsporting behaviour will lead to your immediate disqualification.
Results: A finish time will be given to all competitors, and where possible split times will be provided. In order to keep the cost down we will not be offering chip timing so competitors are encouraged to record their own split times.
