° Introduce the unit with THE NUMBER ON MY ARM and clips from “Schindler’s List”
° Thinking map- brainstorm what the students already know about WW II, using the circle map.
° Give each student an identification card and they are to research their person from the survivor list and make a card from that research
° Students present the survivor story from their person’s point of view using their maps.
° Read excerpts from “Anne Frank’s Diary” and students will write personal narratives about events that changed their lives.
