Rules and Regulations
This price is aiming at rewarding any SME that has developed an innovative environmental product or service.
This year, a special Award will be attributed to an SME having develop a product or service in the field of frugal innovation.
1. You will be ask to state in which category your are applying for:

Environmental thematic:Air, Life cycle analysis, Noise, Waste/Secondary raw materials/Recycling, Water, Eco-building, Energie, Sites and polluted soils and sediments
The product or service you are promoting should have a direct link with the following areas:City of tomorrow, Industry of tomorrow, Mobility of tomorrow
2. 2014 Prizes:
Reward annoucement on June 11th 2013, 7.00pm during Environord at Lille Grand Palais. 3 prices to be given away this year:
  • 1 Frugal Innovation prize: 1500 euros + personalized business support by cd2e
  • 1 innovative eco-product prize: special package including a free exhibition stand at Environord 2015 +

  • 1 innovative eco-service prize: special package including a free exhibition stand at Environord 2015 +

Each laureate will benefit from a higher visibility through media coverage during the award ceremony and in the long run and through websites showcase(
3. Terms and conditions of participation
  • SMEs with less than 1000 employees
  • Having developed an innovative environmental product, service or a frugal innovation
  • The product, service, frugal innovationmust have been developed and introduce into the market during the last two years
  • The product, service or frugal innovationmust deal with ressources conservation and/or limitation, system efficiency issues or enable any preventive or curative action, and/or adopt a frugal innovation approach*

  • Afordability and quality of the product or service

*Frugal Innovation is coming from the hindi word “jugaad” meaning “doing more with less”. Frugal innovation is the ability to seek opportunity in adversity and generate more value (business and social) while significantly reducing the use of scarce resources.
