Como Lube & Supplies, Inc.

On March 5, 2003, the DEQ entered into a fast track consent order (FTO) with Como Lube & Supplies, Inc. (CLSI), to resolve violations of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, 1998PA138; Part 111, Hazardous Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994PA 451, as amended (Act451); and Part 121, Liquid Industrial Wastes, of Act 451. CLSI is located at 1108 Port Terminal Drive, Duluth, Minnesota. CLSI transported used oil, a liquid industrial waste, in the state of Michigan without a valid registration and permit in 2002 and 2003. CLSI also failed to properly track and manifest the transportation of the used oil in violation of Part 111 and Part 121. The FTO required CLSI to pay a $7,000 civil fine.

CLSI met the requirements of the FTO, including payment of the fine, and was issued a Notice of Termination on May 12, 2003.
