Alumni Relations Survey 2014 (USA)
Throughout December 2014 and January 2015, our USA alumni kindly completed our Alumni Relations Survey. We wanted to share some of the responses with you and let you know what we plan to do to improve our alumni relations, for your benefit.
Question: What is your current view of how GCU Alumni Relations communicate with you?
What we will do: We are delighted that 95.3% of you feel that our communications are excellent to adequate, and as such we will continue to communicate with you in the way that we do at present. However, we are always grateful for your feedback and will continue to review this.
Question: Do you read the printed Alumni Magazine that we post to you once a year?
What we will do: It is great that 66.2% of you read the magazine. For those of you who do not currently read it, we will take on board comments and aim to bring you more content that is relevant to you. And for those who do not receive the magazine, we will continue to work with you to ensure that we have your most up to date contact details. If you do not currently receive the magazine (note it is only posted once a year – usually around July) then please update your contact details here.
Question:Would you become a member of GCUUS Alumni LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter?
What we will do:As the appetite exists for separate GCU US LinkedIn Group, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed, we will consider setting these up or investigate if tying into the GCU New York LinkedIn Page, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed is the sensible option.
Question: Would you want to support GCU with any of the following activities in your region?
What we will do:We are delighted that so many of you are willing to support GCU and we will work with the team at GCU NY to take forward many of the initiatives that you are interested in. We will be in touch as and when the opportunities present themselves for you to get involved.
Question: If you were to consider donating to GCU, what type of initiativewould you consider supporting?
Of the responders, who said they would consider donating to the University, these were the top three areas that they would support:
- Helping disadvantaged students to attend university
- Opportunities to study abroad
- Student scholarships
Question: Do you still work or study in the industry that you got your GCU degree?
What we will do:We will take into consideration that 36% of you no longer work in the industry connected to your degree and look to keep you updated of events that are of interest to your current industry. Please ensure that we have your most up-to-date job details so that we provide you with the right information, by completing our contact details update form here.
And the winner is…
