Swimming Gala
Our annual Swimming Gala will take place on Monday 25th January 2010, details above.
This gala is suitable for all abilities It is open to swimmers from Bristol and also from North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES.
Events range from walking and improvers races in the shallow end to timed 50m sprints in varied strokes. Please see the enclosed programme for the full list of races.
If you would like to send a team, please complete and return as soon as possible the Team List form (see enclosed) including names of all your swimmers. (We will also send you individual information forms for each swimmer before the event to bring along on the day) The closing date for the gala is Friday 8th January 2010, but we would prefer a response before Christmas.
Entries should be returned to Jacqui Abraham at the address on the bottom of the Team List Entry form.

NB: Can team managers for the day please bring all medical information/disability information for their swimmers to the gala. (we will supply you with individual swimmers forms prior to the event once you have registered to attend)
N.B. Races will start at 10am so participants need to arrive in time to change and be ready before the start of the first race. We will need to complete the gala by 12.00 midday.

Lane Ropes will be put in at this point and the remaining events will be lengths

In order to obtain competitive times the college/day centre will provide a team list per event prior to the gala. Changes can be made on the day of the gala.
*If a swimmer wishes to record a time for an event which is not in the programme, please indicate this on the form and every effort will be to incorporate a time trial into the programme.
Officials will be provided by local Swim 21 accredited clubs. Colleges/Day Centres should bring among their helpers a team manager who will be responsible for making sure that the swimmers are ready for their event.
