What motivates you to stay in school? What supports assist you in staying enrolled?
- Learning new things, ideas, and concepts. Math labs, tutor labs.
- I need a degree to be eligible for better paying jobs. My support system is my husband.
- Self gratification
- Professors on campus, desire for higher quality of life.
- Can’t afford not to.
- Being a role model for my child. Financial aid.
- The future ability to better provide for my son and myself. The self-satisfaction of getting my bachelor’s degree even during hardships. My family helps me any way they can
- My current position at work reminds me of the need. My family supports me.
- Achieving my dream of becoming an engineer. My scholarship supports me.
- Me, my want to help others in a professional manner. i.e. with a degree.
- Determines to get my degree. Scholarship seminar. Family understands.

- All at some point in time.
- English Department and student affairs
- Academic advising. NTSP
- NTSP, PT and writing department

- NTSP, Educational Co-op, scholarship office, and the writing and tutoring center
- I have only been to the counseling department. I have not utilized any services prior to the NTSP.
- Scholarship Department

- None so far. This is the first.
What would you like to see form the University to assist you in your educational pursuits?
- Work study funded math, physics tutor labs
- More money, More exposure of what’s available
- More collaboration
- More advertisements of programs available
- Mentor or something to assist students not familiar with campus
- Tuition discount or fee waiver
- I am content with my school
- Knowledge of services available on and off campus
- Catch non-traditional students the minute they enroll. I was completely clueless about everything from scholarships to needing advising.
- Offer more evening classes, more evening activities and services. Offer evening session of all online classes.
What kind of programming would you like to see come from the Office of Campus Life Non-Traditional Student Programs? For example: Brown Bag Lunches, student group meetings, and family movie nights.
- All of them. Create a network for academic success and employment assistance.
- More focus on retired students
- Regular group meetings, study lounge, Family nights, ice cream social, professional network
- More support for students who take online only and/or work full time
- Focus groups
- GRE prep course study sessions by area:
- Verbal reasoning
- Math
- Writing
- Student group meetings, scholarship info, campus go to person
- Cultural trips
- Proposal for more effective public transit around campus
- Lunches, movie nights, theatre nights.
