Reporting Student’s Absences and Lates
It is very important to call the school daily and indicate the reason why students are going to be absent or late. Please call or send us an email at: s.
Late Arrivals
There are numerous late arrivals in the morning. When children arrive late, they miss important morning instructions, as well, disrupt morning teaching time. If your children are not coming to school by bus, please ensure they are dropped off between 7:45 and 7:55 at the front door.
Changes to end-of-day and/or appointments
Please send a separate note to the teacher when changing your child’s end-of-day arrangement or for an appointment pick-up.
Inclement Weather – WQSB Website
Radio stations do not always provide accurate and up-to-date details regarding bus cancellation and/or school closure. Please consult the WQSB Website at www.wqsb.qc.ca, there is an Inclement Weather “Twitter” feed on the right hand side of the home page.
Cafeteria
Please ensure that lunch orders are sent to school in the morning in clean baggies and that orders are clearly identified with your child’s name, teacher’s name, menu choices and the payment with exact change when possible. Thank you.
Lunches and Snacks
Please ensure that students have their packed lunch and snacks in the morning before leaving the house for school. This will alleviate the office from having to call home looking for lunches and will also alleviate classroom interruptions.
Transportation
We are asking parents to please be patient during the winter months with regards to bus transportation. Inclement weather makes it difficult for busses to be at the bus stops at the indicated times. Please check the website for up-to-date transportation details prior to leaving for the bus stop. Please note that during the winter months busses may be late. Thank you for your cooperation.
Winter Weather
Please ensure that your children come to school dressed for the COLD weather with their hats, mittens, snow pants and warm boots. Extra mittens, clothes and socks are essential for all ages.
Lost and Found
Please remind your children to check the lost and found for lost articles.
All unclaimed items will be donated to charity in March.
