IT’S OWNERS’ MONEY
The Kia Carnival has shown once again why it’s the most popular people mover in Australia with figures released by the NRMA today (20 January 2005) revealing that not only is it the cheapest people mover to repair in Australia, it is also the only people to drop its repair costs over the past year.
The NRMA survey revealed that while its rivals saw their costs rise by up to 12 per cent in just 12 months, the Carnival’s dropped by nine per cent over the same period, giving the Carnival the lowest repair costs as a percentage of the new vehicle price.
"We would like to congratulate Kia for decreasing their parts prices right across the board,” says Robert McDonald, Head of NRMA Insurance Industry Research. “Kia would appear to be passing onto consumers the economic benefits they are currently experiencing with a strong Australian dollar.”
The NRMA survey is the latest survey to show that the Kia Carnival scores when it comes to ownership costs, with the RACV, RACQ and the RAC-WA all agreeing that it has the cheapest running costs in its class.
“These results are yet more recognition of the hard work we have put into making the Kia Carnival the most affordable people mover in Australia,” says Edward Butler, General Manager of Kia Automotive Australia. “Not only is today’s Kia Carnival the same price - $29,990 – as the vehicle launched six years ago, it now comes with on-road costs included in the price, it is better equipped and our efforts to drop parts prices mean that it is consistently the lowest cost people mover in Australia to own. It is no wonder that it dominates the people mover sector!”
The V6 powered Kia Carnival has a recommended retail price from $29,990 driveaway and it is comprehensively well equipped. Standard equipment includes Dual zone air conditioning, AM/FM radio/CD with six speakers, Power steering, Power aerial, Front power windows, Remote Central locking, Tilt adjustable steering column, Cup holders for all occupants, Dual-sliding rear doors with special hold-open lock system, Grocery bag hooks on back of rear seats, Power door mirrors with defroster, Adjustable roof rack, Tray tables on rear of front seats and Front map lights with timer. It is covered by a 3 year/100,000 km warranty.
