On motion of Mr. Congemi, seconded by Mr. Young, the following resolution was offered:

RESOLUTION NO. 114533

A resolution granting permission to Metairie Humane represented by Ms. Joan Delahoussaye, 6213 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana, 70003, toplace signs not to exceed 4’ x 5” on right of way to advertisethe “Star Paws” fundraiser on Saturday, May 22, 2010, 11:00 am until 4:00 pm, at the following intersections, provided that the placement of all signs are approved by Jefferson Parish Traffic Engineering Division and none of the said signs cause any sight obstructions for motorists: two (2) signs at Transcontinental Drive and West Metairie Avenue; two (2) signs at TranscontinentalDrive and West Napolean Avenue; two (2) signs at Lafreniere Park entrances; two (2) signs at David Drive and West Metairie Avenue; two (2) signs at David Drive and West Napolean Avenue; two (2) signs at Kawanee Avenue and Clearview Parkway and two (2) signs at Kawanee Avenue and Transcontinental Drive, beginning ten (10) days prior to their fundraiser through Saturday, May 22, 2010, said signs are to be removed within twenty-four (24) hours after said event.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson Parish Council of Jefferson Parish, acting as governing authority of said parish:

SECTION I. That permission is hereby granted to Metairie Humane, represented by Ms. Joan Delahoussaye, 6213 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana, 70003, to place signs not to exceed 4’ x 5’ on the right of way to advertise the “Star Paws” fundraiser on Saturday, May 22, 2010, 11am to 4pm, at the following intersections, provided that the placement of signs are approved by Jefferson Parish Traffic Engineering Division and none of said signs cause any sight obstructions for motorists: two (2) signs at Transcontinental and West Metairie; two (2) signs at Transcontinental and West Napolean; two (2) signs at Lafreniere Park entrances; two (2) signs at David Drive and West Metairie; two (2) signs at David Drive and West Napolean; two (2) signs at Kawanee and Clearview and two (2) signs at Kawanee and Transcontinental, beginning the week of their fundraiser through Sunday, May 23, 2010, said signs are to be removed within twenty-four (24) hours after said event.

SECTION II.That said signs are to measure no more than four (4) feet by five (5) feet each and a copy of this resolution shall be attached to each sign, and said signs are to be removed within twenty-four (24) hours after said event.

SECTION III.That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Joan Delahoussaye, Metairie Humane Representative, 6213 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana, 70003; and to all departments in connection therewith.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
