Autumn Term Week 6 Newsletter

Focused, hardworking, happy children!!

Meet the Headteacher

Thank you to all the parents/carers who dropped in on Wednesday morning to meet Mr Trudgill and enjoy a ‘cuppa’ and a piece of cake. It was lovely to see so many there- giving everyone the opportunity to catchup with how building works are proceeding, what the future holds and to experience our ‘renovated’ hall.

Reception

We would just like to take the opportunity to clarify some confusion regarding the new tapestry accounts for this year's reception intake. As stated in our letter to you, the accounts will not become live until November. For some unknown reason beyond our control, Tapestry have sent the activation email out to you very early. If you click the activation link now, it won't work as your accounts are not live! You need to retain this email until November. When the accounts are live, we will notify you, then you can click the link in your email to complete the registration. You will have 7 days from when we notify you to do that. On behalf of Tapestry, we apologise for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused. If that is still not clear, please speak to either Mrs Jeynes or Miss Crossley for further information.

Many thanks for your patience.

Fun Friday

Friday saw Mr Trudgill experience his first Fun Friday at Gledhow! He was overjoyed with the wonderful turnout and efforts of the PSA and children. It was a great event with some lovely Autumn sun giving another opportunity for using the Gledhow Field and to raise money towards our school library. £143 was raised for the school and the Yr6 children-Miranda Dixon, Marillia Lampadarios and Holly Crocombe-who raised £40 towards their nominated charity- Scare Away Cancer.

Thank you to all who supported the event.

Vacancies

We currently still have vacancies for two Lunchtime assistants- please contact the School Office for an application form.
