Directions to Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center
- Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center is located at 783 Townshend Road, Grafton, VT 05146.
- From Londonderry, VT and west, follow Rte 11 east to Chester. Turn south on Rte 35 (by the True Value hardware store) and follow to Grafton. Turn right and then left in front of The Old Tavern. Follow Townshend Road 3/4 mile out to the ski area.
- From Bellows Falls, VT and east, follow Rte 121 west through Saxtons River into Grafton. Turn left in front of the Old Tavern. Follow Townshend Road 3/4 mile out to the ski area.
- From Brattleboro, VT and south, follow Rte 30 north to Townshend. Turn north (right) on Rte 35 and follow signs to Grafton. Turn left toward Grafton at Y about 3 miles after turning onto Rte. 35. Ski area on right after another 6 miles.
- From Springfield, VT and north, follow Rte 11 to Chester. Follow directions from Chester above.
COACHES: Coachesmay ski for free on the day of the state meet.
PARKING: Busses will be parked in a designated area. A more detailed map of the parking area will follow
WARM SPACE:There will be some warm space for skiers in the cabin and the equipment garage. There will also be a large tent. Note, however, that warm space will be limited so competitors and spectators are reminded to dress appropriately and plan to be outside,utilizing buses and vans for storage of competitors’ duffle bags, ski bags and excess equipment and clothing.
FOOD:There will be food ????
FACILITIES: There will be 4 portable-toilets available outside and two bathrooms in the cabin.
SPECTATORS: Spectators and non-competitors wishing to ski should purchase a day membership ($10 adults, $5 students/seniors). All spectators must respect any fencing keeping them off the course.
