Camp Kit List – Dormitory Accommodation
This is a standard form - Please use this as a guide – taking into account the number of nights camping, weather, ease of carrying/storage etc.
Cub uniform – (wear to and from camp)
Coat hanger and/or cheap suit bag (to hang uniform on/in)
Sleeping bag, Inner Bag (optional), Pillow, Blanket (+1 for under sleeping bag)
Undies
Handkerchiefs
1 pair long pants
2 pairs of shorts (OR long pants if it’s going to be cold)
1 warm jumper/windcheater (fleecy?)
1 flannelette shirt/long sleeved t-shirt
2 t-shirts (OR long sleeves if it’s going to be cold)
Socks
Pyjamas/Tracksuit and (optional) slippers
Warm jacket – if rain likely, ensure a waterproof jacket is packed.
(Please take care re waterproof gear… we often get Cubs arriving with inadequate gear – can be a risk to them)
1 pair sneakers (+ 1 spare old pair would be handy)
Ideally, a pair of strong boots/shoes (old?)
1 pair gum boots (optional – spare sneakers, as above, often better)
Sun smart Hat
Scarf & gloves (if weather really likely to be very cold)
Toiletry bag (waterproof – not a plastic bag)
- toothbrush, toothpaste, comb/hairbrush, face washer, soap & soap container
Thongs for shower, if they’ll use them
Towel
Eating kit
– Dilly Bag (marked cotton bag pref.)
– Knife, Fork, Spoon, Bowl, Dinner plate, Mug – pref. all engraved with name, plus Tea-Towel
Sunscreen, sunglasses
1 set of old clothes (incl shoes) that can get wet/dirty is required.
2 plastic bags for dirty or wet clothes
Extras:
- ***Backpack & Drink bottle for hiking
Disposable Camera (optional)
Torch (with ‘full’ batteries) + spare batteries!
No lollies
No electronic games, walkmans, cd/mp3 players, mobiles etc.
