Facility Info: / The John Witherspoon Pool is located on the Princeton Middle School campus, and the pool entrance and parking lot are on Guyot Lane.
The pool is an eight-lane, 25 yard, single course pool with Colorado timing system and full display board. The depth of the water at the starting blocks is 8’- 0” and the depth at the turn end is 4’-0”.
Pool Certification Statement: / The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). This rule requires that pools where World and National records are established need to be certified as to their compliance with pool length requirements of that rule. Times from this meet will be included in SWIMS so long as the swim is one of the standard events recognized by USA Swimming.

Meet Course: / Short Course Yards (SCY)
Meet Format: / · The Meet will be conducted under the current USA Swimming Technical Rules
· This meet will be run as a timed final meet.
· This meet will be deck seeded with coaches checking in/scratching all swimmers. When the seeding has been posted, swimmers are responsible to report to the blocks.
· Fly-over starts will be used.
· The Host team must stay within the four hour per session rule.
· 13/Over sessions #1 & #4 will include at least one 5 minute break for the pool to be open for warm up/cool down. Timing and duration of breaks will be determined prior to start of each session by the host team with the input of coaches attending.

Entry Information and Scoring: / This quad meet will feature a unique sub-event entry structure to allow the depth of each team to compete against one another with an equal amount of points in contention in each sub-event. For every individual age group event, entries and scoring will be as follows:
Event 1A – top two athletes on each team, top-8 scoring
Event 1B – second two athletes on each team, top-8 scoring
Event 1C – third two athletes on each team, top-8 scoring
Event 1D – all remaining athletes on each team, standard seeding, top-8 scoring
All teams are expected to enter their two fastest athletes in event A according to their corresponding SCY seed times, second two fastest athletes in event B, third two athletes in event C, and all remaining athletes in event D.
For every age group sub-event, scoring will be as follows:
1st place – 8 points individual/16 points relay
2nd place – 6 points individual/12 points relay
3rd place – 5 points individual/10 points relay
4th place – 4 points individual/8 points relay
5th place – 3 points individual/6 points relay
6th place – 2 points individual/4 points relay
7th place – 1 point individual/2 points relay
8th place and lower – 0 points
Awards: / The overall team champion will be presented with a trophy. There will be no ribbons or medals for individual or relay events.
Starts: / Fly-over starts will be used.
Admissions and
Programs: / · Admission fee: $7 per person per session.
· Heat Sheet: $3 per session.
Concessions: / Will be provided by the host team.
Vendor: / Metro Swim Shop will be on site both days.
Hospitality: / Hospitality for Coaches and Officials will be provided throughout the meet.
Entry Times: / New Jersey Swimming does not allow ‘NT’ or ‘No Time’ to be used as an entry time. All entry times must be in short course yards. Converted times are permitted.
Relays: / For every relay event offered, each team will be allowed to enter a maximum of two relays. Standard seeding will apply.
Distance Events: / There are no distance events offered at this meet.
Session Timeline Limits: / · Sessions 1 and 4: Will be limited to 3.5 hours
· Sessions 2, 3, 5 and 6: Will be limited to 3 hours
· Session timeline limits are subject to change based on the needs of the meet.
Swimmer Eligibility: / · No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302.
· All swimmers must be included in a team’s official meet roster in the meet database to be eligible to participate in this swim meet in any events including relays.
· All swimmers must be members of their respective YMCA’s to enter and compete in this meet.
· There are no qualifying times for this meet.
Host Club
Responsibilities: / · The Host Club will provide a single timer in each lane throughout the meet.
· The Host Club will provide two back-up timers for each session.
· The Host Club will have stopwatches available for timing volunteers.
· The Host Club will create a warm-up schedule and a timing assignment schedule that will be fair and equitable to all participating teams. The warm-up and timing schedules will be e-mailed to all participating teams and will be posted on www.svynj.org no later than one week prior to the start of the meet.
Participating Club
Responsibilities: / · Participating clubs must help with timing assignments. Timing assignments will be e-mailed to participating clubs and posted on the swim meet website (www.svynj.org), no later than 1 week prior to the meet.
· Participating clubs must help with timing assignments. Timing assignments will be proportional to the size of the participating clubs’ entries for the meet. These assignments will be e-mailed to participating clubs 1 week prior to the meet.
· Participating club parents must stay off the pool deck except for timing assignments, or officials working the meet.
· Participating clubs should help with officiating whenever possible. List the club contact for club officials on the meet waiver/verification form.
Coaches Eligibility: / · All coaches “on the deck” must be current coach members of USA Swimming.
All coaches must have coaching cards visible at all times.
Meet Format
Waiver: / · This meet will be run in accordance with current USA Swimming Rules.
The host club has the right to change the format of the meet with the approval of the sanctioning Chairman and either the Age Group or Senior Chairman. These changes would be made for a more efficient swim meet for the swimmers and the host club. Reasons for these changes include:
· To allow more swimmers to swim.
· To conform to facility capacity limits.
· To condense the meet into smaller time frame.
· Some of the changes that can be made: 1) change estimated start times, 2) combine sessions and 3) limit the number of swimmers.
Warm-up Procedures: / New Jersey Swimming Warm-up and Safety Guidelines:
· Warm-ups will be run under New Jersey Swimming Warm-up and Safety Guidelines. Warm-ups will include general warm-up lanes, sprint lanes, and pace lanes.
· All swimmers are entitled to a fair and comparable warm-up. All teams MUST get the same opportunities for general warm-up lanes, sprint lanes, and pace lanes.
· All swimmers must enter the pool from the starting end of the pool.
· Uniformed and designated meet marshals will monitor warm-ups.
· All general warm-up lanes will swim in a counterclockwise direction.
· The warm-up sessions will be two 30-minute warm-ups divided by teams. There will be designated sprint lanes the last 5 minutes of each warm-up session.
· Warm-up schedules will be e-mailed and posted on the website 1 week prior to the start of the meet.
Check-In: / All check-in sheets must be turned into the control table 30 minutes before the start of each session. Swimmers that are swimming will have a line through their name. Swimmers that are being scratched will have their names circled with a “SCR” next to the circle. Failure to follow this procedure may result in the swimmer(s) being scratched from the session.

USA-S Racing Start Certification Statement: / · Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Audio/Visual Recording Statement: / Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.
USA-S Deck Change Policy Statement: / Deck Changes are prohibited.

Statement: / In order to be eligible for the NJ Swimming Zone Championship Team or for NJ Swimming Athlete Travel Grants for Sectional and National level meets, NJ Swimming policy stipulates certain participation requirements. As a NJ Swimming sanctioned meet, this meet counts toward those participation requirements.
