2014 NAPABA Convention – Applicationfor Student Travel Scholarship

APABA, APAWLA, JABA, KABA, SABA, and SCCLA*(the “Sponsoring Bar Associations”) are pleased to offera limited number of travel scholarships to our law student members to attend the 2015 NAPABA Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Requirements:

1.Applicants must becurrent law studentsand members of one or more of the Sponsoring Bar Associations as of the application deadline, which is Friday, October2, 2015 at 8 pm Pacific time. To become a member of aSponsoring Bar Association, please visit:

If you are unsure about your membership status, please verify your membership by contacting the applicable Sponsoring Bar Association(s) before submitting an application.

2.Applicants must also request funding from their law schools.

Submission of this application is not a guarantee of assistance, and any assistance provided likely will not cover all your registration and travel expenses. Different scholarship amounts may be awarded to different recipients. In reviewing applications, the scholarship committee will consider a variety of factors, including, without limitation:

a)Whether you are a member of a Sponsoring Bar Association;

b)Whether you have volunteered for a Sponsoring Bar Association;

c)Your involvement at your law school;

d)Whether you are volunteering at the NAPABA Convention;

e)Your individual fundraising efforts; and

f)Completeness/quality of your application.

The decisions of the scholarship committee are final and not subject to appeal. Scholarships are non-transferable. Please note that if you are selected for a scholarship, the SponsoringBar Associations will reimburse you upon confirmation of your actual attendance at the Convention, including a mandatory meet and greet event during the Convention.
