Exhibition Title: The Art of Illustration
Third Thursday Opening Show viewing from:
June 17, 2010 to July 10, 2010
Subject Matter: The Art of Illustration: A visualization such as a drawing, painting, photograph or other work of art that stresses subject more than form. It comes in many forms digital, graphic design, fashion, portraits, caricatures, advertising, editorial and books, comic, children’s, poetry and many more. We invite you to explore your preferred style. All mediums will be accepted. Please no pieces larger than 3 feet by 4 feet.
Art Drop off Dates: Saturday June 12th, Monday June 14th and Tuesday June 15, 2010 between the hours of 11AM–6PM. (Including application, submission fee, and art)
Art Pick up Dates:Monday July 12th and Tuesday July 13, 2010 during the hours of 11AM-6PM.
Cost: $10 non-refundable submission fee(per piece)for the first 3 and $30 for4 submissions. 4 submissions maximum please.
There will be a 25% commission plus credit card fees (if applicable) to City Arts Factory on all sold art work.
Entry Procedure
The artist must submit by dropping off their work at the CityArts Factory for review during the dates posted.
- All submissions MUST be labeled on the back of each piece with the following information: Artists Name, Title and Medium. Any work not accepted may be picked up from CityArts Factory on the Friday following the show opening.
- It is recommended you supply a short artist bio or statement with entry form for our records.
Show Policies
1. All work must be original.
2. Art work must be framed and ready for hanging or display. THIS MEANS A WIRE ON THE BACK and no simple foam core only mounts or centered hanging mounts.
3. All work must be must be professional and tasteful.
4. Submitted works should be dropped off at the CityArts Factory offices, 29 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL32801
5. Submission Fee is non-refundable if work is not accepted by curator(s). Fee is due for all pieces submitted.
6. After-show closing, it is strongly suggested all work be picked up on the day(s) indicated for pickup. In most cases this will be the first Monday following the show closing. CityArts Factory is not responsible for damage during storage to any work not picked up after posted pick up date. Any art not picked upwithin 14 days of the show closure will become the property of CityArts Factory.
7. Description of work including Artist name, title, size, medium and selling price MUST be on the back of all works submitted. Work without this information will not be accepted.
8. All sales will be reconciled within 10 days of the show closing. Artist should include legal name on submission for if different from working name.
