San Diego Harp Society
Membership to the San Diego Chapter of the American Harp Society is open to anyone with an interest in the harp. Members receive priority notification to local harp-related events such as concerts and chapter activities and first available opportunities for any master classes and performing opportunities. Additionally, membersreceive discounts on admission to chapter related eventsand access to discounted music through our chapter library. The annual membership dues support our international concert series, local student recitals and the SDHS Annual Senior Scholarship Award.
As a member, it is possible that a member’s photo and name may appear on the San Diego Harp Society website, Facebook page, and/or press releases. In our effort to be a “green” non-profit, all notifications, announcements and the SDHS Membership Directory will be sent electronically through email. For any questions, please contact the San Diego Harp Society at .
Note: membership in the San Diego Chapter does not automatically enroll you as a member in the national organization, which has separate dues. We strongly encourage harpists to join both organizations. By doing so, you become a voting member in the San Diego Chapter, have access to news about harp-related events throughout the county and receive bi-annual copies of the Journal of the American Harp Society. Application forms for the national organization are available at:
Teachers: You must join or renew your membership as a Regular Member of the San Diego Chapter if your student wishes to become a Student Member of the chapter.
Students: You must be a Student Member of the San Diego Chapter in order to participate in the Spring Recital each year. Any student 22 years of age or older must join as a Regular Member, unless enrolled in a full-time college/university program. Performance in the annual student recital for those between 18-21 years of age, will be dependent on the availability of performance slots.
