Prep for IA3:

We are ready to get in the “Spirit of Success” for our 3rd round of Interim Assessments! As part of preparation for testing week, we will be allowing students to dress up the week before IAs in a different theme each day. Students will be required to pay 5 merits each day that they want to dress up(if students choose not to participate, they will be required to wear regular dress code). The themes are below:

Monday, February 29th: NEON DAY- Shine Bright for IA #3!

Tuesday, March 1st: CAMOUFLAGE DAY- Gear Up to Attack Your IAs!

Wednesday, March 2nd: TWIN DAY- Dress Like Your IA3 Study Buddy!

Thursday, March 3rd: NERD DAY- Be a Smarty-Pants & Pass IA 3!

Friday, March 4th: CAREER DAY- Dress For the Job You Want After College!

Academic Counselor’s Corner:

All scholars 6-7 will receive surveys regarding our campus. Surveys will be sent home Friday, Feb. 19th. Each year we work to improve our performance with both scholars and staff members at our campus. Please complete the surveys and return them no later than Wednesday, Feb. 24th, 2016. Family responses on these surveys will contribute to the continuous improvement of our campus and operations. By including all stakeholders in our teachers’ evaluations we will improve the quality of our evaluations and give teachers actionable data points for planning individual improvement. Family and student feedback is also valuable to campuses district wide. All students that turn their survey in by Wednesday, Feb. 24th, 2016 will receive an “excused homework pass” and the first homeroom with 100% of their surveys turned in will earn an ice cream party!
