We require a Knowledge Coordinator to build and ensure the long-term integrity of such a repository.

JOB TITLE: TRANSLATION SERVICES PROCESS COORDINATOR -

ONE YEAR CONTRACT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this position, the individual will provide translations from English to French, and from French to English, of all communications to the Canadian public and our trade partners. These materials may include TV/print advertisements, coupon copy, trade materials, price lists, sales memos, consumer correspondence and press releases. The individual responsible for translation services, will also proof read and edit texts and handle review of artwork materials. The individual will act as a liaison between suppliers and internal customers, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate tone in all business communications. These activities will include the review of materials translated by suppliers.

Additional responsibilities include inputting, updating and maintaining a terminology bank of specialized terminology as well as the linguistic services filing/logging system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1.  An undergraduate degree specialized in translation or a minimum of an undergraduate degree in French or a related discipline with formal training in translations.

2.  Minimum of 5 years experience in translation of packaged goods products in the healthcare industry.

3.  Superior oral and written communication skills in both French and English with a strong aptitude for “first-pass” accuracy.

4.  Familiarity with scientific/medical terminology in both French and English.

5.  Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.

6.  A good general knowledge and some practical experience with Personal Computers and word processing are required.

7.  Ability to accomplish various tasks in a busy work environment.

8.  Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
