2nd Anniversary Golf Challenge 2004
Venue: Lychee Course (A) + Lakes Course (B) of Palm Island Resort, Huiyang, P.R.C.
Tournament format: New New Peoria Handicap System
Applicable rules: As approved by the USGA, R&A GC, St Andrews and the local rules.
General: Participant failing to comply with the rules will be disqualified from the competition.
[Only completed individual scorecard is eligible for the lucky draw]
(1) Men shall tee off from BLUE tees and Ladies from RED tees.
(2) Longest Drive hole no. 3 of Lychee Course (A); Nearest To Pin hole no. 8 of Lakes Course (B).
(3) To avoid slow play
a. There shall be No Mulligan on any hole.
b. Maximum score is Double Pars on each hole.
c. Once the ball enters the white circle around the pin add one more stroke and Holed Out.
d. Drop Zone will be in place.
(4) Each participant SHOULD complete his / her flight mate’s Individual Scorecard, checked and signed at the end of the tournament.
(5) Record the Actual Score on each hole, NOT the number of strokes over par (bogey on par 4 is 5).
(6) Completed and signed scorecards must be submitted immediately after the game.
(7) The Organizing Committee shall determine the flight arrangements and no request will be entertained.
(8) In the event of ties, results is determined on count back from hole no. 9 of Lychee Course (A).
(9) In the event of any disputes, the decision of the Organizing Committee is final.
General
1. Observe Palm Island Golf Resort rules.
2. Keep the golf course clean, put your trash in dustbin.
3. Ask caddy to repair sand bunker and divot.
Safety
1. Prior to playing a shot or practicing a swing be aware of your surrounding to avoid injury.
2. Never walk or stand near someone about to play or is practicing a swing, stand behind.
3. If others in front is in your line of play within reachable distance, wait and ask caddy instruction.
Be Considerate
1. Do not talk or move about when someone is preparing to play his/her shot.
2. Be considerate of noise disturbances to players in neighboring flights (green/tee-off area).
3. Play without delay. Always be ready to play when it is your turn.
Lost Ball
1. If the ball is not found immediately within 1 minute add a penalty stroke and play the next shot.
2. Refer to caddy for local rules on the location of penalty play e.g. water hazards and OB.
3. When in doubt, play another ball & consult the tournament committee after the round.
Scorecard
1. Mark your scorecard in between play away from the green to avoid others waiting.
2. Write down the correct number of strokes for the score.
3. Ensure to drop the scorecard at the designated Drop Box after end of game.
