  3. Manuscripts should be prepared to fit properly on plain white paper (8 1/2 x 11) using 12 point BOLD size font for title, author, address information and e-mail address centered over 2 columns, and 10 point size font for 2-column manuscript format. Dimensions are as follows: top margin: 7/8 inch; bottom margin: 1 inch; left and right margins: 3/4 inch; column separation 1/2 inch for 2-column format required. DO NOT USE PAGE NUMBER IN THE FINAL MANUSCRIPT.

  5. Author name must follow this format (in that order): Given name, middle initial (if any), Family name. Do not capitalize all letters in the family name. Do not include anything else (such as Prof., Dr., Ph.D, SMIEEE, etc.) in an author’s name.
  6. Manuscripts must be prepared so they can be printed directly onto 8 1/2" by 11" plain white paper. For those familiar with LaTeX, a copy of the LaTeX macro is provided. You may have to edit the preamble to be sure you have an inch for the top and bottom margins.

  9. Illustrations, graphs, and photographs may fit across both columns, if necessary, but keep the text in two-column format. Artwork must be in place on the article (preferably, included in the text file rather than pasted up). If you are using photographs, please have halftones made at a print shop (using an 80- or 100-line screen). If they must be pasted up, use rubber cement to affix the halftones in place.
