Commissioners:
#8. Authorize various personnel actions as indicated on the summary sheet for employees within the jurisdiction of the Lorain County Board of Commissioners (at the conclusion of today’s Board meeting, the Commissioners may recess into an Executive Session to discuss: personnel/new hires)
#9 Approve & waive the reading of the same for the Lorain County Board of Commissioners meeting minutes of July 20 & 27, 2016
Children & Families Council:
#10 Approve & enter into a purchase of service contract with Pegasus Transit, LLC., Amherst for transportation services for clients of Children & Family Council on an as needed basis for FY17, effective retroactive to July 1, 2016-June 30, 2017 at a cost of $2.70/mile, not to exceed $1,500
Port Authority:
#11. Enter into a lease with Lorain County Port Authority on behalf of Solid Waste Management for 540 South Abbe Rd, Elyria Unit 2 and 3 of the DIY Condominium for 13,600 sf, effective retroactive to May 1, 2016-January 31, 2026 at annual cost of $40,800
Developmental Disabilities:
#12. Approve & enter into a lease agreement with Our Lady of the Wayside Inc. in the amount of $1,525/month for 144 Academy Court, Elyria, effective September 1, 2016 – August 31, 2018. This property will operate a community residential home for developmental disabled adults.
Engineer:
#13 Request NOACA to place safe routes to schools infrastructure project, Elyria Township on their Transportation Plan for future federal funds; Authorize Engineer to execute on behalf of the Board with Prosecutors approval as to form. ODOT has approved and will provide up to $315,475 for this project in FY20 to construct sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, improved signage and paved trail in a heavily traveled corridor

#14 Request NOACA to place The Gore Orphanage Road Bridge replacement on their Transportation Plan for future federal funds; Authorize Engineer to execute on behalf of the Board with Prosecutors approval as to form. CSEA has approved federal LBR funds in amount of $2,318,000; local share will be MVGT or OPWC which is $579,600 for a total project cost of $2,898,000 for FY22
#15 Consent with ODOT to perform a bridge replacement of the structure located on Folley Rd (TR137) over Plum Creek, Columbia Township to begin construction in 2017. No funds required from county except that County Engineer agrees to assume and bear 100% of the total costs for added construction items requested by County and not necessary for improvement as determined by state and federal highway administration
