Colorado-Wyoming District Qualifying Tournaments
Dear Potential Sponsor:
The Colorado-Wyoming District Qualifying Tournaments for the Optimist International Junior GolfChampionship (OIJGC), commonly referred to as THE OPTIMIST, will be held at Flatirons Golf Course, Boulder, Colorado, on Thursday, June 15, 2017 (Boys 14-15, 16-18) and at Fitzsimons Golf Course, Aurora, Colorado, on Friday, June 16, 2017 (Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12, 13-14, 15-18).
Age group winners (and other participants who qualify)will be eligible to advance to THE OPTIMIST at PGA National Resort andSpa, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, between July 18 and August 2,2017. PGA National is home to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic.
This year, up to 66 junior golfers from the Colorado-Wyoming District will participate in THE OPTIMIST.
The Colorado-Wyoming District Optimist Junior Golf Program hopes to provide entry fees to THE OPTIMIST for the seven age group winners and also provide partialentry fees for the additional 59 qualifiers in the seven age groups.
