A person namely Shyam Pandey s/o Dina Nath Pandey, aged 35 years got electrocuted in the area of PS Shahbad Dairy while he was entering in an ATM Booth. A case FIR No. 862/14 has been registered u/s 304A IPC. It is clarified that the person was not electrocuted by the ATM machine but prima facie it appears thatwhile he was entering in ATM booth he came in contact with the frame of the rolling shutter of ATM booth, anda loose wire from the electric meter was found touching the frame of rolling shutter of ATM Booth. Further investigation is being carried out and officials from Electricity and Labour Department have been contacted for technical report and to ascertain the exact cause of electrocution/leakage of current.

ONE CHEATING AND C.B.T. CASE INVOLVING 1 KILOGRAM GOLD SOLVED, ONE JUVENILE WITH CONFLICT WITH LAW APPREHENDED

North District has apprehended one juvenile in conflict with law and has solved a cheating/criminal breach of trust case of gold in huge quantity i.e. 1 kilogram. The entire 1 kilogram gold has been recovered.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

On 24/07/2014, a case vide FIR No. 573/14 u/s 406/420 IPC was registered in PS Kotwali, Delhi on complaint of Sh. Sushil Kumar stating therein that he is working in a jewellery shop “Shubham Jewellers” of his maternal uncle Sh. Anil Kumar Verma at Trinagar, Delhi. On 23/07/14, he came to 1170, Kucha Mahajani, Chandni Chowk, Delhi to deliver 1 kilogram gold plate but owner of the shop was not found in the shop. One boy who works in that shop and also known to him was present in the shop. He handed over the gold plate to that employee of Sh. Naresh Verma. After taking the gold, that employee asked the complainant to wait in the shop for some time and he would come very shortly after collecting payments from other shops. After registering the case, a team comprising of ASI Yogender Singh, IO, HC Hansraj No. 1202/N and Ct Anuj No. 2850/N was constituted to solve this case and the team was sent to native place of the employee at Gaya, Bihar. The police team did very hard work and apprehended that employee after several raids. Entire 1 kilogram gold plate was recovered at his instance.

INTERROGATION

During interrogation, it was disclosed that the apprehended person is juvenile in conflict with law (age 17 years). He stated that due to financial hardship, he planned to get away with the gold so that he can get easy money for the better livelihood of his family.

RECOVERY

One kilogram gold plate worth about 30 lacs.

CYBER LAB INAUGURATED

A Cyber Lab which has been set up at Police training college Jharoda kalan was inaugurated by C.P. Delhi on 1 August 2014 with the purpose of imparting state of the art training to officers of Delhi Police who generally investigate cyber crime. While inaugurating the Cyber Lab which has been set up by pooling training resources from E.O.W. Cell, Special Cell of Delhi Police as well as other private and public organizations, C.P. Delhi emphasized on the need of imparting training to the officers of Delhi Police in view of the ever increasing network intrusion related crimes and their adverse impact on society. Cyber crime is a jurisdiction less, borderless crime, and therefore difficult to track down without related expertise. Thus there is a need for periodical training programmes for Delhi Police officers in the areas of Cyber Crime Investigation, Computer Forensics and mobile phone security issues.
