Announcements for Wednesday, April 19, 2017 – “B Day”
I am a Beville Bobcat on the PROWL. I will show leadership every day as I choose to respect myself and others.
Reading Connections for today will be held in Science classes. Don’t forget your book!
THERE IS NO STREAM CLEAN UP THIS AFTERNOON! The next Stream Clean Up will be held on Wednesday, April 26!
There will be no step practice on Wednesday, April 19, however, the team will practice on Thursday and Friday, April 20 and 21, and perform at the Rising Sixth Grade Orientation on Thursday evening (4/20). Go Bobcats!
Colgan High School welcomes all new and rising ninth grade students and their families to an OPEN HOUSE & Information Session on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to learn more about Colgan High School and tour the building with Colgan students and staff. Those interested are asked to register for the event by going online to Colgan's website.
Students – please check the gym/locker room lost and found articles this week to see if anything belongs to you. The Lost and Found is overflowing, and the space capacity has been exhausted. Anything left in the Lost and Found at the end of this week will be donated to a local charity. Thank you in advance for checking.
An orientation for rising sixth graders will be held this Thursday, April 20, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Merrifield Café. If you know any current fifth graders who will be attending Beville Middle School next year, please let them know that an orientation will be held this coming Thursday.
We look forward to seeing our future Bobcats, Thursday, April 20, at 7 p.m.
Across the Commonwealth, Friday, April 21, 2017, will be the day to “Purple Up! For Military Kids.” We encourage the entire school community – teachers, principals, students, parents, bus drivers, and staff to wear purple on April 21 to show support for our military students and appreciation for their strength and sacrifices. Purple represents the blending of the colors of the five branches of our armed forces. Here in Virginia, we are proud to be home to Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, National Guard and Reserve families. Let’s see a sea of purple on Friday, April 21!
There will be a Rising Writers’ Workshop held at Colgan High School on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The cost of the workshop is FREE! $5.00 guarantees you a seat on the bus! Only 45 spots on the bus! Pick up a registration form from your Creative Writing Teacher today!
