Graded Assignments – Any graded classwork or weekly assignments

(including weekly CBA’s)

******If for some reason you have lost your copy of the weekly CBA, there will be extra copies in the teal “CBA” bin right above the tall filing cabinet near the door of the classroom. You can access these extra CBA copies at anytime during the school day.

Homework- Any work assigned outside of class. It will be checked in class

periodically.

Math Homework Policy:

It is my expectation that you will do your homework each night it is assigned.

If your homework is difficult, you must SHOW ME WHAT YOU HAVE TRIED in order to receive credit. (A blank piece of paper is not proof of your attempts).

Homework is posted on the homework board every day.

*** This is where you should look if you miss class due to an absence. It is your

responsibility to obtain your missing assignments when you are out.

Homework will be graded on the following basis:

2 100% complete and on time

The entire assignment has been completed and all problems have

been attempted. All of the assigned problems do not need to be

correct in order to receive full credit.

1 Incomplete or late assignments

0 Not turned in

Extra Help:

I am available after school for extra help by appointment. I am available to stay after school until 3:05 pm. Please see me as soon as possible if you feel confused about anything we’ve done in class.

Reteaching Policy:

For a student to qualify for a re-teach opportunity he/she must have met at least one of the following criteria:

·  Have handed in all homework assignments from the date of the last assessment up to the date of the current assessment.

·  Have attended one extra help session prior to the date of the assessment.

Therefore, any student who has missed a homework leading up to the assessment, and has not attended a session for extra help prior to the date of the current assessment, is ineligible for a reteach opportunity.

Furthermore, for any student not eligible for a reteach opportunity, they will earn the given grade on the date of the assessment.

All students who do qualify for a reteach opportunity may earn up to a 70 at the teacher’s discretion.
