  • Applicant applies to position.
  • Materials may be viewed by entering the requisition into the search bar, clicking all of Workday, clicking on the position, selecting Candidate Grid, and then selecting on the candidate.
  • Reviewing Candidates:Faculty Search Committee to review and assign candidates to Yes, No, Maybe.
  • Yes – Interested in candidate – would like Sr. Recruiter to do pre-screen phone call.
  • No – Not interested in candidate, Sr. Recruiter may send a disposition.
  • Maybe – holding on candidate or if missing materials and waiting to review until application is complete.
  • Yes – Sr. Recruiter to do prescreen phone interview. Based on phone screens Sr. Recruiter will move candidates still in the pool forward into Search Committee Chair Interview.
  • Interview Team:Chair will assign/schedule the interview team for the phone interviews by adding members in Workday.
  • Rating the Interview:Each person added to interview team will need to rate each candidate and add a comment in Workday. Please note comments can not be deleted; please make sure to keep to qualifications.
  • Search Committee Chair will make the interview decision on each candidate. All interview feedback is on the interview tab of the candidates’ records.
  • Sr. RecruiterFollow Up interview – this will be for those candidates who are invited to campus.
  • Not interested in candidate – Sr. Recruiter will disposition.
  • If you are still interested in a candidate, however, are not inviting them to campus at this time, will hold and not make an interview decision on the candidate.
  • Each person added to the interview team will need to rate each candidate and add a comment – including those who may have already rated on the phone interview.

Dean/Recruiter Responsibility:

  • Sr. Recruiter will make interview decision, after having a conversation with the Dean toidentify the finalist for reference check.
  • Manager Reference Check – will move the candidate into reference check stage for the Dean to do reference calls.
  • Not interested in candidate – Sr. Recruiter, Search Committee Chair or Dean will have phone conversation with the candidate.
  • Reference Check:Dean will perform reference calls on candidates and will make decision on who to make an offer to.
  • Offer – will move to Sr. Recruiter to enter offer information.
  • Not interested in candidate –Sr. Recruiter or Search Committee Chair will have phone conversation with the candidate.
  • Holding - on to see if first candidate accepts offer.
  • Offer:Sr. Recruiter to enter offer – will enter start date and compensation amount.
  • Approvals will go to Dean and Finance for approval.
  • Once the offer amount has been approved in Workday, Sr. Recruiter or Dean will be able to make verbal offer to the candidate.
  • Acceptance – will move into background check.
  • Counteroffer – a new offer will need to go through approvals.
  • Declined – offer is declined, candidate will be dispositioned.
  • Background Check: Once an offer is accepted, Sr. Recruiter will move candidate into background check stage.
  • Candidate will be contacted to enter information into Hire Right. Once background check is successful, notification will come to People Center to move into “Ready to Hire”
  • An action will be sent to the operations managers’ inbox to initiate the hire in Workday.
