SINGAPORE POOLS

Background

  • Incorporated on 23 May 1968 as a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, an investment holding company of the Singapore Government.
  • Objective is to provide a legal avenue for betting to combat illegal gambling activities and to channel operational surpluses towards the good of the community.
  • From 1 May 2004, Singapore Pools (Private) Limited (SPPL) became a subsidiary of the Singapore Totalisator Board (Tote Board).

Business

  • Singapore Pools is Singapore’s only legal operator for Lottery and Sports Betting.
  • For Lottery, games offered are:
  • Toto, commonly known as Lotto.
  • 4-D, a four digit number game.
  • Singapore Sweep, a sweepstake with a $2million jackpot.
  • For Sports Betting, games offered are:
  • SCORE, football betting on the local league.
  • STRIKE! the football betting game for international leagues

Channels

  • A network of over 300 retailers and branches serve our customers all over Singapore.
  • PoolzConnect also offer members the convenience of placing bets via the telephone.

  • Betting on credit is prohibited
  • Advocate responsible gambling habits, such as betting within your means, amongst our customers
  • Protocols and procedures are in place for every department, from product design to communications;
  • Singapore Pools is a member of the World Lottery Association and we keep abreast of international best practices.

  • Staff Contribution
  • 25% of Singapore Pools staff is a part of the iSHINE programme. A staff programme where employees volunteer their time in support of their chosen cause. iSHINE supports the aged, the sick, children in need and the environment.
  • 100% of staff contribute to the SHARE Programme of the Community Chest of Singapore. The company matches every dollar contributed by staff to the SHARE programme.
