Personal Growth Awards – Check award(s) desired.
Achievement -Based on current year. Youth who reached their project goals, had some outstanding accomplishments, involvement in more than one project and active in other areas both within 4-H (public speaking, judging, etc.) and outside of 4-H (school, church, etc.). (Available for Junior, Intermediate and Senior)
Ag Achievement -Same as Achievement for agricultural related projects and activities. (Available for Junior, Intermediate and Senior)
Leadership (Intermediate & Senior Only) -Is based on youth who showed great leadership at any level in the current year (club, county, state) and may include serving on the 4-H Council, as a Jr. Superintendent, Junior Leaders, etc. The main emphasis should be 4-H but outside leadership roles may also be considered. (Intermediate and Senior)
Citizenship -Is based on youth who exhibit great citizenship through individual and club activity in the current year. The youth should exhibit sportsmanship and exemplary behavior. The youth should volunteer significantly with time and/or talent for the good of others. (Junior, Intermediate & Senior)
Special Awards – Applications available at the Extension Office and Online.
4-H King or Queen-Applicant’s must be a minimum of 4-H age 15, been in 4-H for two consecutive years (including current year) and exemplify the four H’s. Youth must be active in leadership and citizenship (community service) in their 4-H Career.
Participation Scholarship-Scholarship to give assistance to 4-H youth to attend camp (s) including local, regional or state camps. Scholarships should be awarded to youth who excelled at their 4-H Career by exhibiting a positive attitude and who would benefit from the learning experience due to financial considerations. Eligibility is 4-H age 8-18.
Community Service Hours & Donations
Count and submit the number of hours per youth & family members during the current 4-H year. The 4-H year for community service in Hamilton County is counted from Achievement Night of the previous year to the date 4-H Career Portfolios are due for the current year.
