The Lutheran Earthkeeping Network of the Synods would like to receive a report of the “care for creation” organization and actions in your synod. We are eager to share these reports on the LENS internet site and to develop an up to date list serve for contacts and connections among synods. We are eager to hear of any and all items happening in your synod.

Synodical Committee (Name, tasks, membership, history, accomplishments, etc.)
Other than Rev. Don Knowles and Russ Senti there are two other committee members – Re. Jeff Schlesinger from St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Princeton and George Davis, Facilities Director for LOMC. Formed in February, 2008 and has been instrumental into putting together a “dog and pony” show for the entire synod on greening. I will send you this Mission Gatherings information in a separate Email.
Conferences held/ Speakers/ workshops/worship services (Please give dates and details)
· Feb. 16th – workshop with Dave Rhoads
· Nov. 1st – workshop with Doug Scott, director of the Illinois EPA
· Greening eco-friendly actions/changes at synod headquarters and at synodical events
· Less reliance on handouts saving a lot of paper, using washable coffee cups and getting the Bishop a hybrid automobile to use.
General report on activities in congregations (Green Congregations, special projects, etc.)
