“Technical Treasure Hunt” Competition organized under Antaragni-2016

Technical Treasure Huntevent was organized under Antaragni-2016, on 23rd & 24th Feb 2016. This event was a spectacular success with 30 groups of participants from different engineering and polytechnic colleges in Nagpur region. Dr. B. V. Khode & Prof.P.B.Patil were juries of the event. There were three rounds played by participants. On 23rd Feb, 30 groups participated in Round1, of Aptitude test. On 24th Feb. participants shortlisted from Round1 (10 groups shortlisted) played the Round 2. Clues were given in college campus for Round 2. Four groups were shortlisted for Round 3, for final round. Dr.B.V.Khode distributed the clues for final round to participants. Competition won by Aman Jain, Niraj Ghuguskar, Akshay Munne, Akshay Jaiswal(Group No-10) with prize amount Rs.1500/-. Prof.P.B.Patil distributed the winner prize. Prof. N.H.Pitale was the faculty coordinator of the event. Kartik Bainalwar & Aditi Gundawar were the student coordinator and co-coordinator of this event respectively.

“Bridge Making” Competition organized under Technorion-2016

This event was organized under Technorion-2016, on 24th Feb 2016. This event was a spectacular success with 32 groups of participants from different engineering and polytechnic colleges in Nagpur region. Dr. B.V Khode was jurie of the event. The judgment of the “Bridge Making” competition was based on criteria such as dimensions, load carrying capacity with four participants in each team with rules & regulations applied for the same. The Winner was Group No- 09 with Mukesh Kumar, Pallavi Lakhe, Shivani Balgaliwar and

Vrushali Raut as members. The First runner up was Group No- 20 with Ishant Bakde, Ankush Munne, Piyush Chauhan, Parimal Wadhai as members. Prize amount was Rs 1500/- and Rs. 1000/- Rupees with discount coupons. Prof. S. D. Ghodmare was the faculty coordinator of the event. Pratik Punse was the student coordinators of this event respectively.

“Parents Meet” in Civil Engineering Dept., GHRCE

Department of Civil Engineering has organized parents meet dated 13/02/2016 Saturday at G-21.A very interactive session was conducted in presence of Dr.P.Y.Pawade HOD (Civil) and Dr.B.V.Khode , Prof. P.J.Wadhai. All class teachers were organized the parents meet. Class teachers IV semester section A&B namely Prof. V.K.Gaighate and Prof. S.D. Ghodmare. Class teachers of VI semester section A&B namely Prof. Isha P.Khedikar and Prof. P.B.Patil. Anchoring is done by Prof. S.PAbhayankar.

24 parents were attended the parents meet. Views were share in both side and parents are very satisfied with our system which is clearly shown in their feedback. The parent meet was concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Isha P. Khedikar. Also parents had visited all the laboratories of Civil Engineering Department, auditorium, gym, centralized library, T&P section etc.

Students of Civil Engineering Dept., GHRCE, stood runner up in folk dance in Antargni 2K16

It happened twice in two consecutive years in department of Civil Engineering, that the students of Civil Engineering stood runner up in the competition named as “Folk Dance” under Antaragni & Technorion 2K16. It is the gala event of GHRCE conducted every year.

Students of Civil Engg. have taken part in the competition and won second prize in folk dance. They pursued the dance on the theme which was based on “Goa”. It the consecutive second year that they won. Students of 4th & 6th sem contributed for dance. Mr. Shubham Thawre, Yash Musale, Ankita Gurbhele, Monisha Dekate have choreographed the dance.

Forum Incharge Prof. Mangesh Bhorkar took initiation and effort for success of students. Students said ‘without interest & support of Dr. P. Y. Pawade, Head, Civil Engg. Dept., achievement was impossible’. Students have given their credit to Dr. P. Y. Pawade, Prof. M. Bhorkar & Prof. V. K. Gajghate and handover the trophy to the department.
