POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of the Player’s Club Supervisor, elevates the level of customer service within the Apache Gold Casino/Resort by raising the level of awareness for all specials, promotions, and amenities of the Apache Gold Casino/Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes good customer and communications skills while dealing with patrons.
- Personally greets, by name if possible, guests of the Apache Gold Casino/Resort.
- Verbalizes to guests Players Club offers, all promotions, and food and beverage specials.
- Assists guests whenever necessary, including giving directions, explaining how to use coupons or how to play the slot/video machines, etc.
- Makes Public Announcements regularly pertaining to any special activities or promotions.
- Explains to guests how to obtain and/or use their Players Club Cards.
- Asks guests to fill out Customer Comment Cards as necessary.
- Work in conjunctions with and cross train with other Marketing positions.
- Assists all departments in elevating the level of level of Customer Service.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplished related results as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
MININUM QUALIFICATION:
High School diploma or GED. Experience in special events or promotion preferred. Must be 21 years of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service oriented environment.
- Knowledge of computer utilization in marketing/business operations.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software(such as PowerPoint).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is generally performed in an office and Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
