16 hours/weekduring term time
8 hours/week during non-term time
Salary and Benefits: £ 8.45/hour. 23 days annual leave per, year plus Bank Holidays.
Job Summary:
The cleaner will ensure that the premises operated by Future Projects are cleaned thoroughly and to a high standard, ensuring that the working environment is safe and pleasant for all staff.You will be responsible for cleaning Future Education (during term time), Future Studios, & Future Radio, all located on our site on Motum road, Norwich, NR5 8EG. You may also be required at other sites to cover other cleaners during absence. Deep cleaning may be required during half term and school holidays, and overtime is available for such tasks. You will be required to complete paperwork daily, and keep track of stock and consumables.

Future Projects manages a range of facilities and services including; industry standard recording studios, iMac media suite, Future Radio 107.8fm, Future Education (Independent Special School), and youth participation and engagement programmes.
Detailed duties and responsibilities
- Undertaking regular cleaning of specified areas to the appropriate standard as per the cleaning specification, including but not limited to;
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
- Emptying bins & paper recycling
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms
- Cleaning work surfaces, desks, kitchen units etc.
- Wiping walls, skirting and architraves and glass
- Cleaning other furniture and equipment as specified
- Cleaning kitchenware, utensils, appliances, and cutlery etc.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning – filling in and returning the cleaning checklist to the Facilities Manager on a regular basis
- Undertake cleaning using safe methods and in compliance with COSHH assessments, general risk assessments, lone working procedures and manufacturer’s instructions (cleaning chemicals)
- Ensure the security of the premises during times of work – particularly outside of normal working hours
- Raise any safety issues or concerns immediately with the Facilities Manager
- Record and communicate with the Facilities Manager requirements for consumables/cleaning supplies in advance of depletion
- Undertaking deep cleans or additional cleaning duties as requested
- Any other duties as may be reasonably regarded as within the nature of the post
Job environment:The post holder will work as part of the core Team at Motum road offices
Supervision: The Post will be managed by the Facilities Manager. The post holder will be subject to regular support and supervision sessions.
Health and Safety:
The post holder must be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to health and safety, security, confidentiality, data protection, vulnerable adults and safeguarding children; and report all concerns or disclosures to the appropriate person.

Person Specification:
Experience/Skill / Essential / DesirableAble to carry out cleaning functions to a high standard /
Previous or current experience in similar roles /
Knowledge of cleaning systems and procedures, for example; avoiding cross contamination, or control of substances hazardous to health /
Reliable, trustworthy and punctual /
Able to complete paperwork, maintain accurate records and manage stock control /
5+ Years previous experience in similar cleaning roles or supervisory experience /
Able to follow instructions
Qualifications/Training / Essential / Desirable
COSHH or other cleaning related training /
