You are invited to join in an Advent Quiet Day at St. John the Evangelist Church in Topsail, CBS, as we explore Mary the Mother of Jesus along with the themes of Waiting, Preparing, and Receiving.
Reverend Jolene’s talks will be presented as a series of reflections and stories that will be frequently personal, and always challenging. The talks will include prayer, music and scripture and there will be times for quiet prayer and reflection between her talks. Beginning with coffee at 10a.m. the day will end by 2 p.m.
The outline is as follows:
10:00 a.m. Welcome, Coffee
10:30 a.m. First Reflection “WAITING”
11:00 a.m. Quiet (coffee and tea will be available in the basement of the church)
11:30 a.m. Second Reflection: “PREPARING”
12 noon Midday prayer and lunch
1:00 p.m. Third Reflection “RECEIVING”
1:30 p.mPrayer and Anointing for anyone who wishes to receive
