A.  Workshop of Japanese culture (30 -40min: suitable for OS and SS)
(1) / Origami
Lecturer will explain about Japanese culture “origami”, for example how sophisticated origami culture is, why paper crane is symbol for peace etc. After 10-min presentation, lecturer will teach you how to make origami.

(2) / Calligraphy
Lecturer will explain structure of Japanese language or Japanese letters and introduce calligraphy as Japanese culture. In the workshop, students will write their name in Japanese by calligraphy. / Ms. Keiko Vahčič

(3) / Tea Ceremony
Lecturer will introduce about Japanese tea and culture of tea ceremony by explaining Japanese spirit related to Tea Ceremony. In the workshop, lecturer will give a simple performance of the ceremony.

(4) / Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arrangement)
Lecturer will introduce about Ikebana as Japanese culture and explain Japanese spirits of enjoying the beauty of nature. In the workshop, lecturer will show you how to do Japanese flower arrangement.

(5) / Japanese Food Cooking
Lecturer will explain Japanese life style of food, the diversity of food culture in Japan and Japanese food as World Heritage. In the workshop, lecturer will teach students how to cook Japanese daily cuisine, such as Norimaki and Miso soup.

B.  Experience of visiting Japan (30min: suitable for OS (senior class) and SS)
Lecturers will share their experiences of visiting Japan, such as impression, cultural shock, surprise etc.

Lecturer will give you information about Japanese high technology such as bullet train, robotics, anti-earthquake technology etc. / Mr. Tomaž Hožič
(11) / Japanese Garden (nihon- teien)
Lecturer will show you the design principle of Japanese garden and how to create it. / TBA
(12) / Japanese Culture
Lecturer will introduce you the wide-ranged culture from traditional one to so-called pop culture. / Diplomat from the Embassy/ TBA
