Thank you to everyone who participated in our Scissor Sharpening Event last week. We were inundated with scissors!! Please remember that Rick will be here to pick up scissors once a week. His turnaround time is normally 3-4 days. So please continue to bring them in so you will always have sharp scissors to work with!
Another reminder is our Certified Quilt Appraiser Phyllis Hatcher will be here on Saturday, May 12th from 1:00-5:00pm. There are a few spaces left. Please call Patches to schedule your ½ hour appraisal time.

We want to let everyone know that our staff member Ollie Gray is now a certified Hoopsisters instructor. Hurrah for Ollie! And to go along with that she is teaching a Hoopsisters Embroidery class every 3rd Saturday of the month from 1:00-4:00pm. Starting in May, the class will be held on May 19th (where you will be making a lanyard), June 16th and July 21st. Each monthly project will be described online.
Another staff note to let you know about, this summer you will be seeing a lot of Ginny Brown, our Certified Studio 180 instructor here at the store. In addition to teaching several classes, she will be joining us to work part time. We are very excited to have her with us.
Patches will be closed on Monday, May 28th to celebrate Memorial Day, a time to remember all who died while serving in our Armed Services. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 29th at 10:00a.m.
Jackie is off to Spring Quilt Market May 16th. Let’s hope she finds tons of beautiful new fabric lines to purchase!
