Hello!!WelcomeBack! Thanks for continuing to make us a part of your homeschool way of life!

Some important things to remember as we gear up for school:

When do my classes begin?

Virtuals: If you chose a virtual class, it will begin as soon as you receive your login information via email. For Rosetta Stone classes, the email will come directly from Rosetta Stone. For The Animation Courses, you will be in direct contact with them. FLVS: Please attend one of our training sessions. For all other classes, the website, username, password and instructions will come from Tina Kohler @. Please look for those emailswithin the first 2 weeks of January.

Community Classes: Students must begin any community class, including private music lessons, during the month of January, not after. It is important to be familiar with our website:www.berrienspringspartnership.comin order to look up start dates, location addresses and teacher contact information. Some begin the first week (1/8) but some have a delay of a week or longer. Most classes rely on our registration system rosters and simply expect you to come. Some locations require their own additional registration which is noted on the corresponding website page and is very important to complete ahead of time (gymnastics, Southshore Tennis, some sports, dance, martial arts and group swim lessons at all locations).

Private Music Lessons: If you are continuing with the same instrument and instructor, still send a note with your instructor's name. This helps us a great deal in tracking invoices. If you are new to private lessons but don't have an instructor, you can either contact one from the list on our website (Community Classes>Private Music Lessons>select type) or choose another teacher from the community that you would like to have teach your student. We do not need to know your music lesson schedule, but the type of lesson needs to be accurately listed on yourpartnershipschedule, andemail with the name or location of your students' teacher. If you choose a teacher who is not familiar with our program, please have he or she contact me via email immediately for more information. You cannot take lessons from a teacher not yet affiliated with us or you will be responsible for payment. All teachers must invoice us directly, we do not reimburse parents for any classes. If you decide not to take lessons at all, you must take the class off of your schedule.

When will we be contacted by our Mentor Teacher?
There's a good chance that you will have the same mentor teacher.

Important Notes:
Communication:
Checking your email frequently is critical for successfulpartnershipcommunication. You can access all emails sent through our registration system in your registration account. Our staff and community class teachers rely on that to keep you updated on important information.

We also have 2 Facebook sites: BerrienPartnershipCommunity:https://www.facebook.com/groups/190326294355471/ for general homeschool chats with one another and Berrien SpringsPartnershipInfo Page:https://www.facebook.com/groups/555552544557198/ forPartnershiponly announcements.

Paperwork:
If you have registered a new sibling, please send his or her birth certificate and Special Services form (available on our website) by Jan. 1 if you haven't yet done so.
Schedule Confirmation:
It is vitally important that your student's schedule accurately reflect the classes he or she is taking. You can still change classes up until they begin (except CMW or The Animation Course) by logging back into your account. The deadline for changing classes is after just one lesson or class, or Jan. 31 if you haven’t gone to class. You must verify your schedules once school begins (especially the type of music lessons). When checking your schedules, count the total number of classes your student has: grades 1-8 can have no more than 6, and grades 9-12 can have no more than 5.

Weather Policy:
SincePartnershipclasses are scattered across such a wide area, we do not go by the school closings of any one school. If BSPS is closed, any field trip that day is automatically canceled. Each location will let you know their cancellation policy, and it is best practice to stay safe if the roads from home to class are just too dangerous.

I hope this answers many of your questions. The best way to get in touch with us is through email.I hope you and your students are excited about the new semester and are eager to begin their new classes. If you see us out and about and haven't yet met us, please introduce yourself as we'd love to meet as many of our families in person as possible.
